Biography

Mary Yamine, born and raised in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, lived between worlds, United States, Paris, and has finally settled in Lebanon. This diversity allowed the flexibility in understanding her personal expression with art. She was a self-taught artist until she decided to take a step further into the Art Academics. Graduated from Lebanese American University in Fine Arts, Beirut.

Mary’s body of workflows in the world of Abstract expressionism. Her paintings depict a sense of question and doubt in our sense of being. It clearly embodies the duality of life and dreamy experience throughout our existence. Her art always tends to beg a question, which allows you to escape into her world. But at the same time, as ironic as it is, her paintings bring forth an answer deep-seated in each stroke or shade.

Her paintings come to life, breathing and morphing into a story. Painting for her is an out-of-body experience. In these moments of connection, between what triggers her in front of the canvas, and the conversations with the universe, links her to the Creator.
